A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE / A GAME OF THRONES

 This is the first book in the serie A Song of Ice and Fire, A Game of Thrones. At this point everybody knows what Game of Thrones is. As a fan i did this watercolor version of the well known cover book. 

Without any doubt, the main part in the book, as in the tv show, is the death of Ned Stark, Lord of Winterfell. 

He is so naive. 

SOME INCREDIBLE WATERCOLOR ARTISTS THROUGH HISTORY

Rosas / Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema (1836-1912) 

Watercolor artists have made very important and significant work and have marked stages and movements. They were incredibly talented and they could capture the essence of the places, the personality of the characters and bright colors of nature in landscapes.

Thinking about it and how the style has evolved i have been searching paintings and  selected some ones.

I love the styles, techniques and details on them. Please take a moment to admire every piece of true art.

WHO DOESN'T LIKE PRINGLES?

Yes, who doesn't? i kept the can because i wanted to paint it and of course is empty. These are also some other illustrations of random items that i found around the house.

 Tabasco chocolate is not super spicy as the sauce.

SERIAL KILLER PORTRAIT

This is a portrait illustration of a Mexican serial killer who murdered prostitutes and buried in the backyard of his house. The illustrations are for a film magazine (Cinéfila) and this is the whole story. Check bellow.

BORDER COLLIE PORTRAIT

A few days ago a friend ask me to paint a portrait of a very beautiful dog, a border collie that he wanted to give as gift. This is the result, i think is a very handsome dog that i would like to meet.

RANDOM FOOD

For the past few days I've been painting some random food that i have found interesting either the packaging or colors and texture. I want to practice every day in order to improve my skills and be a better watercolor artist.

 I know that my abilities are not the best by now but practice always brings better results. I just have to work hard, make an effort every day and even if is only to make some random drawings is better than to do nothing.

PASTA LESSONS

I am super fan of cooking and if i hadn't studied graphic design, probably my place would be in a kitchen. 

i recently watched a video of Genaro, the italian chef that makes videos with chef Jamie Oliver, who i am also super fan, so this video inspired me to do these badly made sketches.

I want some pasta :)
